Starting Anew

Starting anew seems appropriate for the first post. This updated site is more about my work than selling pics from races. That has gone by the wayside.

So, with this update it’s more about starting over… again. This time around it’s more about the work I want to create and less about the work I needed to make money. I’m focusing on my photography and the enjoyment that I get out of it. So often I spend my time working toward a goal and I need to be getting something out of it in order for it to make sense in my head. I’m trying to do away with that mindset and do something because I love it and that’s it. Sure, I want to be great at everything I do. But, I don’t want that happiness I get from it to be secondary.

With that in mind, let me say that this is more about me writing and documenting my photography. I want these posts to mainly be for me, but I do hope there’s something you take away or enjoy from it as well.

The goal of these posts will be about trips, maybe a few things about techniques, and maybe even a review of gear sprinkled in here and there. So here’s to the future of trips, hiking posts, photos from around town, and life with me and my family.
